About the Prolaris RP Test
The Prolaris® Radical Prostatectomy (RP) test provides an analysis of your individual tumor aggressiveness as well as a clinically validated prostate cancer-specific mortality risk. This test, designed to be used in patients who present with high-risk pathology after prostate removal surgery, utilizes a patient's final pathology tissue to calculate a Prolaris Score.
This score, combined with the genomic profile of your tumor, helps to determine the aggressiveness of your cancer compared to individuals with similar disease characteristics, and computes your relative 10-year risk of biochemical recurrence. With this information, you and your healthcare provider can develop a treatment or monitoring plan that best suits your individual needs.
