As you can see in our PCMs algorithm, we recommend men with a negative biopsy and suspicion of prostate cancer receive a ConfirmMDX test. This test analyzes three genes that, when tested, have the ability to show if certain regions of the prostate may need to be targeted and biopsied again. If the ConfirmMDX is positive, further biopsies such as an MRI guided biopsy or a 3D mapping biopsy may be necessary.  There are many factors that contribute to this, and some patients may still require an additional biopsy despite having a negative ConfirmMDX test. Only you and your health care provider should decide what steps to take.  Click Here to return to the home page.
